Centered means directing one’s thoughts, aspirations and actions toward one thing. This applies to professional life as well as to everyday life. There is something specific in the center, and this is where the focus is directed. Those who center themselves in meditation, for example, do not allow themselves to be distracted mentally; they withdraw their senses from the outside and return to their innermost being, where they find peace and quiet.
