At first we cannot assign a beginning tinnitus to a known tone and cannot understand it emotionally. Therefore the subconscious signals danger, the affected person instinctively reacts with panic and feels helpless at the mercy of the strange sound. The resulting sensitivity to the sound often makes the perception even stronger. The chip supports the transformation of the tinnitus tone into an already familiar tone and conveys the awareness that there is no longer any danger of being exposed to it. It promotes the correct processing of information from the auditory nerve.
