BKR – Bauer-Creep-Reflex (Crawling Reflex)

Development: Fully developed in the 28th week intrauterine

Duration: From birth to 3rd month

Integration: Into whole body system by end of 4th month. Transition to the amphibian reflex.

Abnormalities in non-integrated reflex:

• Homolateral and bilateral (homologous) movement patterns may be predominant
• Activation of the cry reflex as well as the ATNR and STNR may be delayed
• The pace of work is slowed
• Creativity of thinking may be limited
• Integration of thinking and movement is slowed down
• Cognitive processes are limited
