Fructose intolerance (fructose malabsorption) is a food intolerance in which fruit sugar (fructose) is only tolerated to a limited extent or not at all. This means that fructose is not properly absorbed into the bloodstream in the small intestine. It gets into the large intestine where it is decomposed by bacteria. This produces gases that can often lead to stomach aches or other symptoms. The chip (FRI) can initially be used by the therapist to detect fructose intolerance and support the customer/client/patient in his therapy.
