GAS – Gastritis

Gastritis is also called gastritis because it is damage to the mucous membrane of the stomach caused by inflammation. Depending on its form and severity, it results in superficial to deep-seated changes in the glandular tissue of the stomach. Gastritis is usually caused by certain bacteria (especially Helicobacter pylori) or drugs. Basically, acute and chronic forms are distinguished.
