GSR – Crossed Stretch Reflex

Origin: 28th week intrauterine

Duration: Intrauterine until middle of 2nd month of life

Integration: Into hand movement pattern (grasping reflex) from 2nd month onwards

Abnormalities with non-integrated reflex:

• A feeling for one’s own center is missing
• The upright posture is laborious
• Tilting of the body to the side, forward or backward when standing, walking, running, jumping, hopping, may occur
• Coordination of the legs is difficult
