The vagus nerve is the X. Cranial Nerve. It is the largest supplier of parasympathetic fibers, has the most extensive innervation area of all cranial nerves, and is subdivided into head, neck, chest, and abdominal parts.
Motor failure of the vagus nerve is called vagus palsy. It can be divided into central and peripheral paresis. In peripheral lesions, the amount of nerve damage determines the exact symptoms. Possible failure symptoms include soft palate paralysis with phonation disorders and hoarseness caused by the paralysis of the recurrent nerve.
The chip is used to control the X. The chip serves to stabilize the X. cranial nerve N. vagus and to support it with all its functions.
