ISN Tape
How does Akury ISN Tape work? ISN Tape targets the causes of sciatic pain, which is often caused by irritation or pinching of the sciatic nerve (the longest nerve in the body). This nerve runs from the lower back through the hips and buttocks to the legs and can cause severe, radiating pain, tingling, or numbness due to tension, poor posture, or inflammation.
The tape works in several ways:
Mechanical support: The elastic material lifts the skin slightly (like a “suspension effect”), which reduces pressure on the nerve and promotes lymph and blood circulation. This allows swelling to subside and muscles to relax.
Sensory stimulation: The tension in the tape activates receptors in the skin, which dampens the perception of pain in the brain (gate control theory) and improves proprioception (body awareness) – ideal for back pain caused by prolonged sitting.
Energetic component (Akury-specific): The integrated chip transmits subtle information that acts on acupressure points and harmonizes the meridian system. This can promote additional relaxation and pain relief.
Step-by-step instructions
Integrate the Akury chip: If the tape is equipped with a chip (e.g., Pino foil), place it directly on the most painful area (e.g., lumbar spine or buttocks). Remove the white foil and press firmly.
Finish and activate: Stroke the tape several times to activate it (increases adhesion). Avoid pulling on the ends to prevent skin irritation. Test the mobility – it should not feel tight.
Wear the tape for 3–5 days and shower as normal. Remove if redness occurs (peel off slowly).
Tips and advice
When not to use? On open wounds, if you have allergies to adhesives, or in cases of acute inflammation. Test on a small area first.
Combination: Supplement with stretching exercises, heat, or physical therapy for better results.
With Akury ISN Tape, you can actively combat sciatica—good luck with your treatment! If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
