LED lupus erythematosus
Lupus erythematosus (LE) is a rare disease. It belongs to the large group of autoimmune diseases. In these diseases, the body’s defence system (immune system) is directed against its own body. Experts refer to such defence substances that are directed against the patient’s own body as autoantibodies
Normally, antibodies fight viruses or bacteria and help sick people to recover. Autoantibodies are different: they mistakenly fight against their own body and can make those affected ill. In LE, these are directed against the skin, blood cells and small blood vessels. This can lead to inflammation throughout the body. This can damage every organ and tissue in the body.
The chip is designed to help restore, regulate and stabilise healthy antibody function.
