PSY A 13 – Fear of Offending

Mortification means that someone hurts another person’s feelings or self-esteem. The person offended takes something personally, reacts “offended.” The person who is offended feels hurt deep down, feels that what has happened is a rejection of him or her. Often it triggers a feeling of helplessness and bewilderment. Those who have been offended feel fear, pain, shame and anger. The chip should help to recognize the causes of the fear and to overcome them.
