STR – Strophanthus gratus

Strophanthin is a cardiac glycoside that occurs naturally in Strophanthus plants. In particular, the plants Strophanthus kombé and Strophanthus gratus, native to Africa, are used for medicinal purposes. Today, it is considered certain that strophanthin acts directly on the heart muscle by promoting its contractility.
