DIA 1 – Diabetes Typ 1

Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body’s immune system, which is primarily used to ward off pathogenic germs, targets and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. As a result, it often comes within a short time to the lack of insulin production and thus to high blood sugar levels in the blood.
